Agreement signed for the formation of the Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA) for six districts of Nagaland between the Government of India, the Government of Nagaland, and the Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO).
Features
- Powers related to 46 subjects will be transferred to the FNTA for the six districts of Tuensang, Mon, Kiphire, Longleng, Noklak and Shamator.
- The provisions of Article 371(A) of the Constitution of India is not affected.
- There will be a mini-Secretariat for FNTA headed by Additional Chief Secretary/Principal Secretary.
- Development Outlay for the region will be decided proportional to population and area.
