- It contains details like the name of voter, age, address, and part & serial number.
- The preparation, revision, and maintenance of electoral rolls are enshrined in the Constitution of India (Articles 324, 325, 326) and governed by the Representation of the People Act, 1950.
- It is prepared by the Election Commission of India through the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) and the Booth Level Officer (BLO).
