    • Built in the 11th century AD, during the reign of the Solanki dynasty.
    • Commissioned by Queen Udayamati, in memory of her husband King Bhima I (r. 1022–1064 CE).
  • Architecture Style: Maru-Gurjara architectural style (also known as Solanki style).
  • Features:
    • Richly adorned with over 500 principal sculptures and over 1,000 minor ones.
    • Predominantly features avatars of Vishnu, apsaras (celestial nymphs), and mythological scenes.
    • Illustrates mastery in proportion, detailing, and iconography.
