Gandhi’s 11-Point Ultimatum

  • Launch: 31st January 1930.
  • Eleven demands of Gandhi which he made to Lord Irwin
    • Prohibit liquor, and intoxicants. 
    • Issue licenses of firearms to citizens for self-protection.
    • Change the exchange ratio between the rupee and the sterling.
    • Release all political prisoners.
    • Reduce the rate of land revenue.
    • Abolish the CID department.
    • Reduce the military expenditure. 
    • Accept the Postal Reservation Bill. 
    • Abolition of the salt tax.
    • Impose custom duty on foreign clothes. 
    • Reduce expenditure on civil administration​.
